Les graines de BCN Diesel venaient directement de Kannabia Seeds en paquet de 5 féminisées. Une des graines n’a pas germé dans la coco mais les 4 autres ont bien poussé. Les semis ont été rempotés dans des pots de 15cm de coco auxquels on a ajouté du Piranha, du Voodoo Juice et du Rhizotonic 2 semaines après. Après encore 2 semaines de plus, les plantes ont à nouveau été transplantées dans des pots de 20 litres remplis de coco pour 10 jours d’enracinement. Les plantes ont ensuite été placées sous un cycle 12/12 pour la floraison. La BCN Diesel a bien poussé dès le début et les plantes ont bien réagi à la technique du super-cropping. Une des plantes avait de grosses feuilles. Elle était courte avec des têtes compactes et prêtes à être récoltées après 9 semai­nes de floraison. Les 3 autres plantes avaient plus de Malawi en elles et ont pris plus de temps. On les a laissées mûrir complètement avant de les cou­per. Deux des plantes ressemblaient fortement à la Diesel avec une couche épaisse de poils orange et une bonne odeur. L’autre plante avait des extrémi­tés plus fines, contenait plus de Malawi et était terreuse. Elle est devenue plus verte et grise après le séchage. Toutes les plantes avaient un arôme âcre avec des odeurs incroyables pendant le cycle de floraison et le séchage. Les plantes ont été pendues pendant 10à 15 jours avec de l’air circulant tout autour. Les plantes de 11 semaines qui contenaient plus de Malawi sont restées fruitées quand on les effrite. Le rendement sur les 4 plantes était meilleur que la moyenne. Les têtes du sommet étaient belles, bien formées, avec des têtes plus den­ses sur les bases principales. La fumée était plus sucrée sur la plante de 9 semaines. Les 3 autres étaient ter­reuses avec une touche de la douceur de la Diesel. Globalement, ce sont des plantes agréables à cultiver et à fumer. Leur effet est spacey. Absolutely anyone can grow this hardwearing, reliable plant. The structure is typical of an Indica/ Sativa hybrid, with a large central tip from which many side bran­ches shoot out, running parallel to the centre for much of the flowering stage. Extremely hard‑wearing from growth, the stems feature a short distance between nodes. Plenty of large, dark green leaves. Its vigour is immediately clear as flowering starts, when a layer of copious resin (tentacles of resin visible to the naked eye) starts to cover all leaves. Kannabia has improved and established this cross of the New York City Diesel with a male Indica making for a shorter, quick ripening plant. It is well worth extending growth up to 10-12 days indoors (with seeds). But watch it! The seedlings were repotted into 6 inch pots of coco at 2 weeks old with added Piranha, Voodoo Juice and Rhizotonic. After another 2 weeks the plants were tran­splanted again into bigger 20 liter pots of coco for 10 days to root. The plants then got placed onto a 12/12 cycle into flowering. The BCN Diesel grew ok from the start and the plants responded well to the supper-cropping technique. One of the plants had big fat leaves. It was short with compact buds and was ready to harvest at 9 weeks flowe­ring. The other 3 plants had more Malawi in them and took Tonger to finish. These were left to fully matu­re before cropping. Two of the plants were very reminiscent of Diesel with a covering of thick orange hairs and a nice smell. The other plant had wispy tops with more Malawi in and was earthy. It turned a green and grey colour when cured. All the plants had really pungent aro­mas with amazing smells during the flowering cycle and when dried out. The plants were hung for 10 days to 2 weeks in and environment with cir­culating air to dry. The 11 week plan­ts that had more Malawi in them were still fruity when broken. The yield on all 4 plants was better than average. The top buds were pleasing on all 4 plants, well formed, with denser buds at the main bases. The smoke was sweetest in the 9 week plant.
